🇺🇦🇪🇺 Kyiv at the Heart of Europe’s Strategic Dialogue

On April 16, @Aspen Institute Kyiv brought together more than 30 European and Ukrainian decision-makers in Kyiv for a timely roundtable discussion:

“Lessons from Ukraine: Implications for Europe’s Security, Resilience, and Innovation.”

As Yuliya Tychkivska, Executive Director of Aspen Institute Kyiv, noted:

« Ukraine possesses something no European country can replicate: the experience of defending democracy in real time, under the most extreme conditions. Our duty is to articulate these lessons clearly, honestly, and with the strategic ambition this moment demands. »

At a time when war is reshaping the continent’s geopolitical landscape, discussions focused on two major challenges:

🔹 Preserving social cohesion and human rights in times of war;
🔹 Strengthening coordination among governments, civil society, and businesses to support collective action.

We are particularly pleased that Christine Ockrent, Vice President of Institut Aspen France, was able to represent the Institute and contribute to this strategic dialogue alongside leading government, diplomatic, and business representatives.

🎙️ While in Kyiv, she also recorded an episode of Affaires étrangères for @France Culture, featuring conversations with Constantin Sigov, Oleh Shamshur, Tetyana Ogarkova, Ivan Gomza, and Anastasia Fomitchova.
