Media, Freedom and the future of journalism: Christine Ockrent, VP of Aspen France in Prague
Generously hosted by Institut français de Prague, we welcomed renowned journalists Christine Ockrent and Peter S. Green for a timely discussion on media freedom and the future of journalism.
Christine Ockrent, the first woman in France to anchor a prime-time national television news broadcast, and Peter S. Green, a veteran foreign correspondent with decades of experience covering Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and major political transitions, brought deep expertise to an exchange on the challenges facing journalism today.
Held under the Chatham House Rule, the conversation explored how technology, social media, and artificial intelligence are reshaping the information landscape, while raising urgent questions around trust, credibility, media literacy, and the role of independent journalism in democratic societies.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for an evening of thoughtful discussion and exchange.
